The EPIC Shark Bite Challenge – 8 Miler

The race features 8 mile beautiful miles, and is held in the open waters in the Gulf of Mexico. It welcomes all crafts to participate, including SUP, traditional paddleboard, OC1 & 2, kayaks, canoes, and surfskis.

The Feeding Frenzy – 4-Miler

Are you up for the Challenge?

A favorite of the Shark Bite Challenge and Paddlefest, the Feeding Frenzy features a 1 and 4-mile course, and is held in the open waters in the Gulf of Mexico. It welcomes all crafts to participate, including SUP, traditional paddleboard, OC1 & 2, kayaks, canoes, and surfskis.

Beach side check-in and numbering starts at 8:00 a.m, Race Meeting at 8:45.

The Waterman’s Challenge

This year, the Waterman’s Challenge will include the long course and the short course. Paddlers will paddle each race, on two different crafts. Are you up for the Waterman’s Challenge?

Shark Bite OC6 Race

Another long standing race at the Shark Bite, this race features 6-person outrigger canoes. The races will be 6-8 miles in length, and will host men’s, women’s, and mixed teams from all over the country.

Registrations and payments are made by team.

Held on April 9, 2017, at Honeymoon Island State Park, Oasis Area.

Canoe Drop off is available as early as Friday, April 10th, in the afternoon/evening. PLEASE CONTACT SHARK BITE STAFF BEFORE DROPPING OFF CANOES.

This race will follow ECORA racing guidelines.

Lunch follows races.
